Stockalperweg ¦ Winter closure
The entire Stockalperweg route from Brig via the Simplon to Gondo and via Furggu-Zwischbergen to Gondo is closed in winter with immediate effect (12 November 2024).
The doors of the connecting tunnel through Fort Gondo in the Gondo Gorge will remain closed until the end of May 2025. There are no passage or bypass options for the Stockalperweg in the Gondo Gorge.
No path maintenance will take place during the winter months. Due to its location, the Stockalperweg cannot be used in winter (avalanche risk).
